Grateful for the game

  • Born and raised in the Inland Empire, better known as the "IE," Jamaal proudly attended Summit High School, where he dominated the football field as a Sky Hawk.

  • He committed to BYU, Brigham Young University, to play college ball over an offer from Boise State.  

  • During his career at BYU, Jamaal rushed for a school-record 3,901 yards on 726 carries.

  • After attending BYU, he entered the league as a fourth-round pick by the Green Bay Packers in the 2017 NFL Draft, where he played four seasons before joining the Detroit Lions.

  • In his second season with the Lions, Williams set the teams’ single-season rushing touchdown record with 17, surpassing the previous record of 16 set by Barry Sanders.

  • On March 17, 2023, Williams signed a three-year contract with the New Orleans Saints.
